If you're ending with sword (which I also recommend, because it's such a dramatic prop - save it for the ending!), then maybe your first 2 minutes could be a drum solo or something more upbeat?

Without knowing much about the music, I would say sword second--it's more dramatic. For your shorter song, you might do best to edit a piece out of a longer song.

I am performing my first solo in 3 weeks.... i have decided to use my sword and do some sword dancing but im not sure on something. i want to use the song river of tuoni by amberian dawn. now my plan is to either have a short 2 min. song with sword dancing, then it goes into that song by amberian dawn and i put the sword down....or i start out wuith amberian dawn then i pick up the sword and do the last 2 min. to another song ..... which do you think is a better transition? sword first..or last... also i need help finding a short 1min50 maybe 2 min. song that is somewhat ethnic/tribal but gothy......any suggestions???
