Trhough the fire and flames? Anybody ever used it... I heard it yesterday morning again and really went... wow this would be a hell of shimmyshow case song... I dont' know any of their stuff, just recently actually heard it although my brother tired to get me on it a while back.

Just thought I would ask ... (ducks* don't hit the newbie gothling*)!!

LOL, yeah my 13 y/o son is all about Dragonforce. I'm old, so all their songs sound the same speed metal to me.

hmm intresting, I'm midly intrigued by them... I wasn't sure if it was appropraite music. I like it... not sure I would totally dance to it, but the thought crossed my mind, I dont' know how much peopel get into that heavier metal stuff, which hasn't bothered me at all but in if there is a more traditional "gbd' would this not fit into it?

Which I guess really brings up another question I had but hadn't asked yet... what quantifies it as 'gothic' music to dance too? Shrug, just curious as I'm sitting around pretending to work. =p

          hey
dance to whatever music you want
aren't there Metal Bellydancers(heavy metal bellydancers???)

I would think Goth's be more open minded
and wouldn't or shouldn't care what music you choose

Hey my friend introduced me to Metal
and I introduced her to Punk
          it all comes around anyway

They are Power Metal if ya wanna get technical. There are some folk metal bands out there that have more of, well, a folky viking sound that might be better for tribal.

the guitar solo is sick... i've seen some good ones but they are damn impressive.

Shrug it's the perpetual can of worms in trying to 'quantify'... or catagorize: which is overrated anyway. But I figured I could ask, I know Within Temptation is considered a gothic band, I think Nightwish is as well, buuuuut they dont' fit into US standards of 'gothic' I don't THINK. i mean I think they are great and I feel that dancing is an expression of one's soul... therefore if your soul feels like Sting one month and Marilyn Manson the next, and Hussam Ramsey following then it's appropriate and right. Are there unspoken guidlines about these things.... not trying to be an ass just trying to gain some insite on the mental side of this arena I guess.

Dance to what you love, and that's how you'll dance your best.

But also, do know your audience. The audience at a goth club might not care for metal, or for Hossam Ramzy. The audience at a belly dancer's hafla might not care for metal or goth. The audience at a metal show might not care for goth or Hossam. Dance what speaks to your soul, but don't forget there's an audience out there that you might want to connect with :-)

That song is a veyr very very quick one! One of the fastest guitar players ever and very metal haha. They arent exactly goth though but I dont see why you cant dance to it. I love that band. (*jumps* Yay!)

They remind me of Mannheim Steamroller. To hear who they are, if you don't already know...www.youtube.com/watch

I agree with whoever said it...to me it sounds like (and they kinda look like) a lot of the hair/glam bands from the '80's. Some might be a bit too young to remember them, but I grew up listening to Twisted Sister, Montley Crew, Poison, Def Leppard. I did like the Dragonforce song though. It's just familiar. But it is nice to see that music making a resurgence.

Who remembers Pretty in Pink, Madballs, Garbagepale Kids, Head of the Class and Short Circuit?

LMA... I loved my skip it... I beat the hell out of it, I think it was the only pink thing I owned ..no bike, no roller skates, nothing... but a skip it could run for hours on dirt or the concrete patio... =) hours of useless fun.

and yes they are like a big hair band, and yes they are kind of like those grungy bands. And yes they are fantastic. Hmmm might have to play with it and see what I come up with, little pre-occupied with one or two other tid bits, but it's a dual... between my technique (or lack there of) and the music... lets see who wins! ! !

Yeah, I don't necessarily consider them a "goth" band, but my teenage cousin had told me about them and I really like them. The cheese factor alone makes me giddy.
